Jordan's 5 year old checkup

A little late getting in for her 5 year old apt.  Everything looked good, but we are following up with Jordan's occupational therapist in regards to eating.  Doctor didn't have concerns, but Doug and I would like to work with her on the speed of her eating.  Currently she struggles to eat her lunch at school.
Stats
35.8 lbs 25%
40.5 inches 15%

She took her first hearing and vision test and everything looked great.

Kindergarten

I can't believe Jordan is a Kindergartener.  We had such a crazy few weeks getting ready for this big step.  So fun to look back and see this fun time.

We got our teacher postcard!!

Meet the teacher night!  Jordan got all comfortable in her new desk.

Fun picture with the new Kindergarteners from our neighborhood.

Getting our school supplies ready.  She checked, organized, and got everything ready.

We hosted a fun Back to School night for our friends where we had dinner,

Made awesome 2028 t-shirts

And generally made such a big deal about school starting.  This is my atempt at buses with their names on them :)

Kindergarten t shirt from Grandma Connie.  Big tshirts and pics with her buddies.  Such a fun time.

And finally our last night of summer, before school started the next day.  Doug got home from work early, we went out on the boat for dinner and had such a great time with these girls.

First morning pics with Jordan, cousins Taylor and Madison and our family.

Hailey really wanted to go to school with Jordan.

Bus stop buddies and fun getting on the bus for the first time.

And like most normal, overbearing parents, we followed the bus to school to check in.  She was already at her desk, working on a project.  She looked up and said, "Oh, hey mom.  I had a great bus ride."

We took Hailey to the park, getting her to adjust to such a big change, too.

Cookie faced, waiting for the bus to get home.

She's home!!

Ice cream our first day of school treat of choice.

And day two, proud of her empty lunchbox!

Getting ready for my baby to go to Kindergarten was harder than I expected.  I always tend to get emotional at milestones and this was especially emotional for me.   But watching her leave the first day, I felt really peaceful.  She was where she needs to be, with great teachers at a great school.  She is loving school and is excited to go almost everyday.
