Check ups
We went to the doctor for double trouble check ups. Both girls are doing great - Jordan's soft spot hasn't closed up which is unusual but nothing to be concerned about. Hailey's weight was down a few ounces where is should be, but growth overall looked good.
Jordan - 3 years
27.4 lbs
36.5 inches
Hailey - 6 months
14.4 lbs
25.5 inches

May - 5 months
Seriously, I'm melting. So adorable.
A quick word on sisters. I had the best big brother growing up, but no sister. So having two girls and therefore, the concept of sisters was foreign to me (and to Doug who is one of three boys). It is so adorable and fun. They are so sweet together - I just can't quite believe it.
From the first day, Jordan loved and accepted Hailey. There has never been a day that she was jealous. This was such a wonderful surprise and so beautiful to see. And this month, we have started to see Hailey's love of Jordan develop. What a special time. Hailey has always been happy, her smiles are just so big. And now she is starting to recognize her sister. She absolutely lights up when she sees Jordan. They are two peas. My two sweet peas.
This month Hailey conquered the back to front roll despite her sister's eagerness to help. Hailey would be so close to rolling over and Jordan would shove her the rest of the way (helping, obviously). She has been bearing weight on her legs for the past few months and is getting stronger all the time. She can stand just holding on to your fingers. She loves to grab her feet and is the poster child for "Happy Baby Pose" in yoga. She figured out how to put her own pacifier in her mouth and thus at the end of this month on her 5 month birthday - she started sleeping like a champ. It was like the switch was turned. She began sleeping all night or possibly one feeding 3-4.
Jordan is looking forward to her third birthday, talks of goodie bags and party hats (she must have read this in a book) and that she will have a big piniata! She continues to come more out of her shell everyday, be more outgoing and engaging. It is such a joy to see. She loves the color pink, princesses, Minnie Mouse, Dora the Explorer, being outside, gymnastics, dancing, flowers and bossing her dog around.

My first Mother's Day as a momma of two. We had a wonderful brunch and walk at the park. Perfect weather, perfect day.
Look who can hold her own bottle (on the rare occasion that she gets one!)
sisters.
