Jordan's 5 year old checkup

A little late getting in for her 5 year old apt.  Everything looked good, but we are following up with Jordan's occupational therapist in regards to eating.  Doctor didn't have concerns, but Doug and I would like to work with her on the speed of her eating.  Currently she struggles to eat her lunch at school.
Stats
35.8 lbs 25%
40.5 inches 15%

She took her first hearing and vision test and everything looked great.

Kindergarten

I can't believe Jordan is a Kindergartener.  We had such a crazy few weeks getting ready for this big step.  So fun to look back and see this fun time.

We got our teacher postcard!!

Meet the teacher night!  Jordan got all comfortable in her new desk.

Fun picture with the new Kindergarteners from our neighborhood.

Getting our school supplies ready.  She checked, organized, and got everything ready.

We hosted a fun Back to School night for our friends where we had dinner,

Made awesome 2028 t-shirts

And generally made such a big deal about school starting.  This is my atempt at buses with their names on them :)

Kindergarten t shirt from Grandma Connie.  Big tshirts and pics with her buddies.  Such a fun time.

And finally our last night of summer, before school started the next day.  Doug got home from work early, we went out on the boat for dinner and had such a great time with these girls.

First morning pics with Jordan, cousins Taylor and Madison and our family.

Hailey really wanted to go to school with Jordan.

Bus stop buddies and fun getting on the bus for the first time.

And like most normal, overbearing parents, we followed the bus to school to check in.  She was already at her desk, working on a project.  She looked up and said, "Oh, hey mom.  I had a great bus ride."

We took Hailey to the park, getting her to adjust to such a big change, too.

Cookie faced, waiting for the bus to get home.

She's home!!

Ice cream our first day of school treat of choice.

And day two, proud of her empty lunchbox!

Getting ready for my baby to go to Kindergarten was harder than I expected.  I always tend to get emotional at milestones and this was especially emotional for me.   But watching her leave the first day, I felt really peaceful.  She was where she needs to be, with great teachers at a great school.  She is loving school and is excited to go almost everyday.

Viva La Mexico

We went from this:

To this:

In one day.  Such a wonderful week in Mexico with our family and good friends.  It was the perfect week to miss some of the coldest weather, and we had great weather in Mexico.  We swam, played on the beach and went on a submarine tour.  Such a great trip, hoping to repeat it again next year.

Jordan's favorite part of vacation - the teeter totter in the kids playground.

Hailey loved the music by the pool

On the beach bed with our big girl

Ready for dinner in their new dresses

My favorite time - sitting on our porch in the morning before the kids were up, reading.  Heaven.

2 year old checkup

Hailey did a great job at her 2-year-old checkup, despite her mom scheduling it during nap time.  The doctor was happy with her verbal and motor skills.  She really loved that she was already potty trained.

Hailey is 24 lbs, 8 oz and 33" tall.

She is still right between 25 -50% which we love to see.  She's right on track and such a big girl all of a sudden.  She loves to sing the ABC's getting most of the letters except Q, R.  She sings Poo, Poo, S.  She loves to sing, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Currently her favorite book is Goodnight, Moon - which we read to her every night before singing Coming Round the Mountain.  Doug is good for eight verses, I'm usually tapped out with four.

Terrible Two's?  With this sweet face?  Nope, we are looking forward to a fun year this two-year-old.

4 year old checkup

It's hard to believe this little one has been in our lives for four years. Some days four feels really old. Her big girls check up was one of those days. She wore a gown and answered most of the doctor's questions herself. A subtle shift, but one that felt so big to her mom.

She is 32.3 lbs - car seats are forever in our future
Height 38.25 inches
BMI 15.5 (uh, jealous!)

She told the doctor she wanted to be a doctor like her dad when she grew up. Then she got shots. That night she asked her dad if he gives shots. Maybe she is questioning her career choice? Kids these days!
