Wilmington Nightlife

We thought this was pretty funny - we took this one for Willie...
On the beach, Sunday afternoonDoug & I were pretty excited that he had an entire weekend off, so we planned a nice getaway to Wilmington. Because of poor planning (on my part) I didn't make any plans for Willie. We ended up taking him with us and it worked out really well - he had lots of fun. He loves elevators and looking out the hotel window (lots of people watching!)
Wilmington is about 2 hours away, so we got checked in fairly late on Friday night. Saturday it rained, so we went to breakfast, did some shopping and went to a movie. By the evening it had cleared up and we had an incredible dinner at a nice seafood restaurant in downtown Wilmington. We were able to eat outside on a private balcony and enjoy the nice weather. We then listened to some music at several places and called it a night.
We were excited to wake up Sunday to beautiful, clear weather - so we were able to get in a few nice hours at the beach before grabbing a late lunch and heading back home. We always have fun in Wilmington - it's such a great little town. Plus, it's such a treat to get away for a few days!

I am so glad that you, Doug and Willie were able to get away for a weekend together. How perfect that you were able to get a balcony table by yourselves. Hopefully, now that Doug's schedule will be a little more "human like" you can have more get aways together. P.S. the shot of Willie at the window is priceless.

Looks like Willie enjoyed himself too. What a good doggie mama you are taking him along for the trip!
