Thursday
We left after work and got to California late. We picked up the car close to midnight and (for once!) hit no traffic on the 5 heading up to Oceanside. After catching up with Niki, we called it a night - having been up nearly 24 hours with the time change!
Friday
We woke up at 5:00 AM to Miss Taylor giving us a speech about the current state of her life. It went on and on. When we finally got rolling in the morning - we started preparations for Sea World - our main scheduled outing for our trip. We were celebrating Madison's second birthday! It had been so long since I had been to Sea World - it was so much fun. We saw some shows, enjoyed the kids park, viewed the various aquariums and even went up into the sky tower. It was a beautiful day, seeing the park through 3 and 2 year old eyes. It was also a long day and the girls were tired when we finally got home and had dinner. With no nap during - the girls slept straight through the night for 11 and 12 hours each.
Stop touching me!

Get up Madison! Fun on the bounce.
Both girls practicing their rolls. My favorite part - Taylor saying, "Aw, man!"
Taylor taking a break in the tube
Madison & me checking out the flamingos & other birds
Me, Taylor, Madison & Niki -by the Dolphin pool
Taylor & Grandma in the Sky Tower
Beautiful view from the tower - one of the tanks & auditoriums - and the view to the ocean.
Taylor playing at the "Jumping Jets" an favorite attraction for all the kids.
Madison - testing the waters.

Saturday
Everyone enjoyed a nice long sleep after an exhausting day at Sea World. We woke up and Taylor & Grandma made us all pancakes while Madison waited patiently :) We then got ready to give mom the day off, while Aunt Katie & Grandma took the girls for the day. We started out by going to the stables and going for Pony Rides. While Taylor is an experienced equestrian, it was Madison's first time. Up in the saddle, Little Maddie was fearless (even dancing in the saddle) - although she did get bored halfway through and decided to walk the rest of the way back :) Taylor stayed up on Junior for two entire laps on the Pony trail. After a quick lunch & nap for Maddie, we spent the rest of the afternoon playing at the neighborhood playground. It was a beautiful day - even Roxy the dog tagged along. We finished the day with dinner out - which was a perfect way to end our fun trip. It was a perfect few days with our favorite girls!
Giddy up! Both girls ready for their ride.

P.S. Most of the links are other videos that I took on the trip, but didn't want to put them all up on the blog.

I loved getting to see all of the videos! They are all so great but my fave is the one of Madison singing her ABC's. PRECIOUS!!
Those are such fun pictures. Looks like a great trip for you guys! I love your cute brown dress, too, in those last pictures!!
The pics and videos are great! I think I watched every one. :-)
Sorry to hear your brother is deployed. I hope it's not for too long. I'll keep him and your family in my prayers. Looks like you had a lot of fun with "the girls!" So cute!
